We went to The Pink Cadillac Diner for breakfast.  The pink building is hard to miss with the pink Cadillac sitting outside.  Inside, the diner is very reminiscent of an old school 50’s diner, decorated with a rock & roll theme, with a vintage jukebox in the corner.

Marie was friendly, informative and attentive without being over-bearing.  The biscuits and gravy were flavorful but not over-rich.  I added two over-medium eggs, which were perfectly cooked.

Chris ordered the John Wayne.  He is not a fan of ham, so he asked to switch the ham for a chopped beef patty, which was a perfect mid-rare.  The grits had a wonderful true grit flavor and the potatoes were fluffy on the inside with a nice crunch on the outside. The bacon had a beautiful texture and melted in your mouth.  The coffee, served in pink mugs, was excellent.

The diner serves breakfast all day.  If you want the sausage gravy, however, get there before 11.

Cost for two coffees and two meals (with some boxed up to take home) $19.40
